About Us
The St. Isidore Parochial School Foundation “SI Foundation” was established in 1984 to provide an exclusive perpetual endowment to St. Isidore School with the charter to broaden access to a quality Catholic education for those facing adverse economic circumstances and to promote the intellectual, social, physical, and education of students of the St. Isidore's School, Danville, California by raising, managing and distributing funds for tuition assistance.  Our annual gift to the school helps to cover unpaid tuitions for families that from time to time, are unable to meet their tuition obligations.

 Over the past 23 years, The SI Foundation has been able to grow the Foundation endowment and increase tuition assistance to families in need or transition.

 Tuition Assistance is defined by the two examples that follow:

Example 1:  Where a student is unable to pay monthly tuition, in whole or in part, because of family hardship, Foundation funds may be used to cover the unpaid portion.

Example 2:  Where all individual deficits described in Example 1 are covered, Foundation funds may be used to pay a portion of the tuition of all St. Isidore’s School students; the net result of which would be that St. Isidore’s School would be able to keep tuition rates lower than it otherwise would.

The Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.  Our Foundation is a California Nonprofit Benefit Corporation and its charter is for public and charitable purposes aforementioned above.  The investments that make up our endowment grow year over year through contributions and prudent financial management.  All donations made to the SI Foundation go directly into this managed fund.

• Foundation assistance for school families is discrete and based upon need

• Our annual gift helps to hold down tuition costs for all school families

• SI Foundation is able to fund roughly 60% of this need for tuition assistance annually

Make a donation!

We depend on your donations, bequests and other charitable planned gifts to make a difference in the lives of school families. There are many ways to give including charitable gift planning and endowment, workplace giving and new IRA tax-savings available only in 2006 and 2007.  Even consider a year-end gift during this holiday season. 

Company Match Program

Does your company offer “company matching gift” program?  Please remember the SI Foundation during your company’s annual giving drive.  Most companies will match dollar for dollar up to $5,000 in contributions.  This is an excellent way to double your donation and help those in need.

We accept cash or checks, donations though your company matching program, stock or securities, and United Way or Employee Charitable Contributions, etc.

How are Donations Invested

The Foundations investment strategy is to provide safety through diversification in a portfolio that may include common stocks, bonds, mutual funds, and cash equivalents.  Above all else, the primary goal of the Foundation is capital preservation combined with the objectives of achieving reasonable income and capital growth for use of tuition assistance.
