A Little Bit About Us:
April 2008Dear Parents and Students,
April is here!! Believe it or not, we are on the final stretch to graduation.
April begins with the students returning from spring break. This was a well-deserved vacation for all. We begin the month with our Teacher Treat Event on April 5th. This will be a fun night of disco dancing for 6th, 7th and 8th graders!! We hope to see the students there. Next, the class go on a field trip to the KTVU news station. In addition, the students are very busy with various writing and history projects this month.
The end of April finds us " Jumping for our Hearts" and working hard at our Math-a-thon packets. Both of these activities are fundraisers that support two very important charities. Some of the students will also be stressing out a bit as they prepare for the Math and Spanish placement tests administered at Carondalet and De la Salle High Schools. Good luck!!!
May begins an exciting time for the 8th graders. We begin with May Crowning Mass on May 2nd, and the Spring Concert is on May 8th. The students will take their final exams from May 15th through May 20th. We will have our 8th grade retreat on May 21st. The week of May 26th includes the Gifts of the Holy Spirit, Dinner Dance and Graduation Mass/Ceremony. Yeah!!!! We made it!!!
As we all know, while these activities and events will be fun, they can be very distracting. Please help us to keep your student focussed on their school work during this busy time. Let us know if we can help you in any way. We are here as partners in your student's education.
Have a great day!!
