Today, Friday, February 12th, we recognize Chinese New Year! This being the year of the Ox, an agricultural symbol that embodies hard work, positivity, and honesty; a perfect comparison to our student expectations here at St. Isidore of our students. The ox is a faithful friend who strives to make significant contributions to society. We guide our students to reach to be inclusive, reach out to others, provide service, and be contributing members of society. Red, as a popular color in Chinese culture, symbolizes luck, joy, and happiness and is often displayed throughout the year; red is also connected with our upcoming Valentine's Day. Our students love preparing Valentine's cards for their classmates, and in honor of this day, students wore red, pink, purple, and white tops with jeans!
